Pond life
We were delighted to discover that despite its unattractive appearance the pond is 'home' to a wide range of invertebrate species, many of which are considered to be indicators of good water quality.
Technical note : These photographs were taken by Jacky on several 'pond dipping' sessions with a Canon PowerShot camera set on macro.
They are of actual species found in the pond.
While the photographs are not the quality of any taken with a microscope camera, they are not bad for a little compact!
